Winona Area Humane Society
Operating since 1992, the Winona Area Humane Society (WAHS) is a no-kill shelter that places hundreds of cats and dogs in loving forever homes every year. Their mission to help homeless animals is achieved mostly through fundraising, generous donations, and adoption/surrender fees; they do not receive any state or federal funding.
Winona Area Public Schools
Winona Area Public Schools has been inspiring, educating and empowering generations of Winona area children and families since 1861. We are committed to making systemic changes to support individual needs that help us realize our vision of a safe and inclusive community of compassionate, curious and resilient lifelong learners.
Winona Area Toys for Kids
Winona Area Toys for Kids is a nonprofit organization that assists local families by providing free toys for their children during the holiday season. Each year, toys are collected at donation barrels located at businesses throughout Winona.
Winona Arts Center
Winona Arts Center is committed to increasing community awareness of the arts by featuring the work of visual artists, providing space for performances, readings, and films, and encouraging participation in workshops, demonstrations, and classes, for children and adults across our community. For the benefit of both art enthusiasts and artists, WAC is home to the Frances Prentiss Lucas Gallery, a performance stage and screening area, the RiverBed Press print studio, The Winona Film Society, and our administrative office.

The Winona County Historical Society is dedicated to the collection, preservation, exhibition and interpretation of materials that document the human history of Winona County.
Winona County Primary Prevention Project
The Winona County Primary Prevention Program aims to to stop sexual and domestic violence in Winona County using the “Spectrum of Prevention”; Support Winona County coalitions and foster networks, promote education in our communities, educate providers/professionals and promote safe organizational practices; Educate public policy and legislation makers and strengthen individual knowledge and skills.
Winona Creators Collective
Winona Creators Collective is building a nonprofit makerspace with shared tools – from table saws and joiners, to 3d printers and embroidery machines, and everything in between for working with wood, metal, fabric, and electronics. Imagine your high school woodshop reimagined like a gym! We offer classes around art, STEM, and business, while offering all the resources you need for your next project, creation, or prototype.
Winona DAC
The Winona County Developmental Achievement Center (DAC) was first established on September 3, 1963. We provide day services to individuals with developmental disabilities that honor our mission which is, to foster interdependence of individuals with the community. The Winona DAC provides individualized programs that are designed to enable people to do constructive, meaningful work, earn paychecks, and pay their bills; improve communication and social skills; and enhance their lives through recreational, social, and physical activities.

Winona Friendship Center
The Winona Friendship Center provides older adults (55 and over) with programming and services to enhance the quality of their lives.
Winona Goodfellows
The Winona Goodfellows Fund has been in existence for more than 100 years, providing countless Winona-area children with warm winter clothing and footwear. We currently provide between 700 and 800 vouchers each fall to income-eligible children in grades preschool through six enrolled in Winona County schools.

Winona ORC Industries, Inc.

Winona Public Library
The Winona Public Library is the public library serving Winona, Minnesota, United States. It is a member of Southeastern Libraries Cooperating, a Minnesota library region.
Winona Sheltering Network
Our network helps meet the immediate needs of refugees and asylum seekers, including finding housing and accessible and affordable food options for our families. Our volunteers assist our refugee friends with learning English, acquiring a driving education and license, urgent healthcare needs, and navigating U.S. culture while preserving the beauty of their own cultural identities.
Winona State University Foundation
The WSU Foundation exists to raise funds, steward them in perpetuity, and distribute them in ways that collaboratively support the mission of the University. We recognize those who give, and we advocate for the University to the public. The WSU Foundation is the number one source of external support for the University. We achieve this by: 1) showing an abiding interest in and appreciation for WSU and all that it does. 2) cultivating special relationships with donors who give at the highest level.
Winona Volunteer Services
Winona Volunteer Services is supported by our local community, Winona County, area Foundations, Hunger Solutions and the Emergency Food & Shelter Program. Their programs include a food shelf, clothing thrift store, home delivered meals, health and nutrition education, information and referrals, and coordinated assistance.
