Maximizing Impact
The Winona Community Foundation is a forward looking organization. We manage the assets entrusted to us wisely and professionally to maximize the capacity to support a variety of community organizations doing good and important work. The foundation’s volunteer board of directors maps out the future to ensure the growth of assets and available funds to give back to the community. In 2021, fund advisors distributed more than $1.9 million to charity and over $100,000 was granted through the Community Grant Program. The financial summary presented below is un-audited. Your Winona Community Foundation
As we present this annual report to you, we do acknowledging that 2021, while a better year for most, was still a challenge for many. We choose to celebrate the many positives that emerged from these challenges. Through your generosity, and that of our many fundraisers and donors, along with strong market growth, the Winona Community Foundation invested more than $1.9 million back into the vibrant place we call home. After several months of collecting community input, strategic planning sessions and engaging in transformational thinking, the Foundation announced our new mission and vision at the 2021 Founders Event. In the 2021 report, you will learn more about the incredible generosity of the Winona community, the 1st Annual Charity Golf Outing success, the Founders award program and the servant leadership of Phil Feiten, the 2021 Founders Award recipient, and a first-hand experience from one of our fund holders at the Foundation.
