Winona Gives

Winona Area Public Schools has been inspiring, educating and empowering generations of Winona area children and families since 1861. We are committed to making systemic changes to support individual needs that help us realize our vision of a safe and inclusive community of compassionate, curious and resilient lifelong learners.

Operating since 1992, the Winona Area Humane Society (WAHS) is a no-kill shelter that places hundreds of cats and dogs in loving forever homes every year. Their mission to help homeless animals is achieved mostly through fundraising, generous donations, and adoption/surrender fees; they do not receive any state or federal funding.

Our Mission: To serve businesses how and when they need us. Chamber Vision: Be the foremost resource and advocate for businesses in the Winona area.

Visit Winona provides visitors with information, group tours, planning, and resources needed to make their trip to Winona absolutely perfect.

Team Vogel vs. Cancer is a group of volunteer people connected in a fight against cancer. Since 2010 we have been supporting families in the Winona area who are fighting cancer, local cancer research, and area hospital cancer patient support programs.

Our non-profit organization aims to promote health and wellness while raising awareness for youth mental health through inclusive events for all ages. Our goal is to raise funds for programs and scholarships dedicated to providing essential services in youth mental healthcare. We strive to create a welcoming and positive community with a focus on mental health, physical activity, and giving back to others.

Semcac Clinic provides sexual and reproductive health care and information for everyone. Semcac provides education for area schools, community groups and organizations upon request.

This two-day storytelling festival provides performances which celebrate and preserve the power and pleasure of our varied cultural traditions and human experiences and promotes the art of storytelling for all ages. We value excellence, inclusivity, equity, diversity, integrity, fun, community, and the power of storytelling. We will encourage excellence in the art of storytelling for all, and bring people together to share our common humanity, in an inclusive and welcoming environment.

Ready Set School needs your help. Winona County families are facing unprecedented financial and emotional losses, and our local nonprofit is seeing the impact of this burden firsthand. Ready Set School works to ensure all eligible K-12 students in Winona County have the basic and necessary supplies and clothing for school.

Project Get Outdoors works with community action groups across the state to implement accessible programs and activities for children to experience nature and outdoor exploration. Since 2005, Project GO has served more than 50,000 children in 50+ locations across Minnesota.
