The Winona Community Foundation hosted their 2nd Annual Charity Golf Outing on June 24th, 2022 at the Bridges Golf Course. The event raised $30,063.52 from their collective 36 sponsors which went directly into the Community Grant Program for Cycle 2 that was due on August 1.

The purpose of the event was to help local charities make a difference in the Winona Area. By participating in this event, sponsors and volunteers were directly supporting the competitive Community Grant program that benefits local nonprofits. Each year, the Foundation receives grant requests that far outweigh our available dollars to grant each year. In 2021, there were 38 eligible grant applications requesting over $300,000 and the Foundation awarded 15 nonprofits the $118,350 available.

A special thank you to our major Augusta sponsor, the Helen Leaf Haun Fund, for their kindness through their $5,000 sponsorship. A big thank you to our Shinnecock sponsors, Bob Kierlin and Mary Burrichter and Merchants Bank, for their kindness through their $3,000 sponsorship. A thank you to all of our thirty-three other sponsors and participants, who were agents in making this event possible.
