On June 27, 2025, the Winona Community Foundation hosted its 5th Annual Charity Golf Outing at the beautiful Bridges Golf Course in Winona. The event brought together 24 enthusiastic teams, all teeing off in support of the Foundation’s Community Grant Program—an initiative that directly funds local nonprofit organizations.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of 33 sponsors, the outing raised over $42,000, all of which will be reinvested into the Winona community through grants distributed this fall.
These grants support a wide range of vital services and opportunities, including education, arts and culture, health and human services, childhood literacy, and more. Each year, the demand for funding exceeds available resources, making events like this essential to expanding the Foundation’s impact.
The event raised more than $42,000 from its collective 33 sponsors which will go back into the community through grants this Fall.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the event’s two major sponsors—PNG Worldwide and In Memory of Helen Leaf Haun—for their outstanding $5,500 contributions. Additionally, the Foundation was honored to receive a $9,900 Member Impact Grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, submitted in partnership with Merchants Bank, whose staff played a key role in securing the award.
The Foundation extends its deepest gratitude to all sponsors and donors. Your support makes a lasting difference in the lives of those served by Winona’s nonprofit community.
